For those parents whose babies come early, prematurity becomes an unavoidable reality. The March of Dimes has developed a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Family Support Program that responds to the emotional and informational needs of families during the NICU hospitalization, during the transition home, and in the event of a newborn death.
Your generous donation this evening will help the March of Dimes and their researchers continue their mission to find a cure for prematurity and will help support the NICU Family Support Program.
Here is how you can help:
The auctioneer will call out funding levels of $5,000, $2,500, $1,000, $500, $250, and $100
Simply raise your bid card for the level you wish to donate. A runner will be with you shortly to collect your gift.

$5,000 could pay for a ventilator for two days for a baby cared for in the NICU?
$2,500 could support 100 families with memory boxes for those who have lost a pregnancy or a baby in the NICU?
$1,000 could provide over 15,000 pregnant women with a wallet card listing signs of preterm labor and what to do if it happens to them?
$500 could provide 100 families with a kit that helps older children cope with having a baby borther or sister in neonatal intensive care?
$250 could provide respiratory treatment for 1 1/2 days to help a premature baby breath more easily?
$100 could provide 10 families, with babies in neonatal intensive care, information and support to ease their fears and uncertainty?
